ISLAND OF CORSICA

CLICK ON PHOTOS FOR INFORMATION..-- Ajaccio is 153km from Bastia where i moved by train to next,.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------BASTIA is on the other side of the island, on the east coast. Buses seem to run between towns ,but i took the train,it is slow which gives time to take in the scenery. There is a airport in Bastia. --Bastia is in two parts, the old quarter with the old port, and the Citadel. The Citadel is from the 15th century, mostly intact.-- I stayed in hotel Univers Bastia.-------------------I took the ferry from Bastia to Marsseilles on mainland France.p-- Everybody i met on the island was very friendly.
